On a still day in the Þingvellir area you can not help seeing the steam that rises up from the geothermal power plant in Nesjavellir. Clean electricity is produced there with steam from the depths of the earth.

I recently visited Iceland, and was struck by how amazing these plants were - green and environmentally friendly, yet strangely very cool to look at
