Udaipur City Palace and Lake Pichola

Lake Pichola is situated inside the city, and the City Palace stands on its banks. The palace is a huge complex of buildings that today houses a couple of museums, a luxury hotel and private residences. The oldest buildings in the complex date back to the 16th century, but the habit of successive maharajahs of each adding a new section to the complex means there are several different building styles to be seen, with the newest dating to the 19th century. Here is the palace seen from near the landing stage for the lake tour that I took.
