Udaipur: Traditional dance night I

I went to a traditional dance exhibition one night with an American woman I had met on the Jaipur day tour and whom I ran into at the café where I had my breakfast almost every morning after discovering they served very good curds for breakfast. I have forgotten the names of almost all the dances, but just look at these colourful costumes! In this dance the dancers had cymbals tied to their hands, arms and feet and played them as they danced.


Einn morguninn rakst ég á bandaríska konu sem ég hafði hitt í Jaipur og við fórum saman á þjóðdansakvöld. Í þessumd ansi (efri mynd) voru málmgjallir bundnar við hendur þeirra, handleggi og fótleggi og þær spiluðu á gjallirnar um leið og þær dönsuðu.
