Yule Calendar: 18 days to go, and today we visit the Christmas House

Today several countries in Europe celebrate St. Nicholas Day.

This is a year-round Christmas shop in Hrafnagil, not far from Akureyri. There is always a fire going in the fireplace, Christmas carols play constantly on the stereo system and you can shop for decorations and Christmas trinkets to your heart's content. Unfortunately I have never been there in the winter, but I imagine it must look magical in the snow. Just click here to see what it looks like in the winter.

The "outhouse" (background) has to be experienced to be believed.
